Many People Did Not Vote For Barack Obama Because of Prejudice.
I was born just outside of Memphis, Tennessee in May of 1934. Thus, I spent my earliest years in the very segregated
South. I was introduced to prejudice in downtown Memphis at court square by my beloved Granddaddy. He was the one who
pointed out the separate toilets and drinking fountains. But the virus of prejudice didn't take. I had been vaccinated
by the story of Little Black Sambo as I sat on my Grandmammy's knees and she read me the wondrous picture book story of
the little black boy's encounter with the tigers. Because he was a little boy and I was a little boy a bond was
formed that could never be broken. If you would like to read this story to your child just click on the the title picture
